Discovering what is Possible - Palouse Lone Tree
As those of you who follow my blog know, I am always encouraging 'play' in order to see what is possible. Todays image was a surprise to me. I wasn't looking to create a Japanese sumi-e like painting.
I started creating several different layers that I intended to blend together. One of the layers I want to use would be from creating a painterly look in ArtistaOil. I imported a blended version of this classic Palouse Lone Tree into ArtistaOil and started selecting the different presets I had created in the past. When this version was done rendering it took me by a very pleasant surprise. I really like the simplicity and drama.
It isn't my 'normal' style (if I have such a thing) however it is a lesson in knowing what is possible with this wonderful device we carry in our pocket and purses called an iPhone.
